Bespoke by The Crown At Woodbridge - taking a taste of our unique dining on the road
The Crown at Woodbridge is delighted to announce the launch of its own high class events catering business, Bespoke by The Crown At Woodbridge.
Thorpeness & Aldeburgh Hotels, the Crown’s parent company, has recently acquired North Suffolk-based Bespoke Events so that it can deliver a much needed service to cater outside their five hotel properties in the houses of their varied clientele and other special venues, with the same sophisticated trademark.
Specialising in upmarket events, Bespoke has been established for over ten years and its founder Rebecca Mackenzie (and Stephen’s wife) has joined us full time to continue its growth sharing The Crown’s success.
Very well known in society circles, we are fortunate to look after many prestigious events for a huge variety of people, including many local gentry including a Russian Princess’s wedding.
Bespoke are Sir Nicholas Bacon’s house caterers at Raveningham Hall as well as preferred caterers at Glemham Hall, Earsham Hall, Felmingham Hall and Pettistree House. One notable occasion was being asked to serve a sitdown lunch for 250 guests in honour of the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor on his visit to North Suffolk two years ago.
Stephen David, Chef-Patron of The Crown at Woodbridge, commented how delighted he was to “able to take a flavour of our unique dining in Woodbridge on the road, not just to Bespoke’s very loyal clientele but also to the Crown’s many regulars who have asked us since we opened a year ago to cater for their special occasions at home”. Stephen is also thrilled to be working with Rebecca once again, joined again in their well tested partnership, having previously owned the award-winning Earsham Street Café in Bungay for ten years and as General Manager and Executive Chef running the world famous Hoste Arms in Burnham Market, North Norfolk in the late Nineties.
